International Workshop on Disordered Systems

17 – 21 June  2024

Salamanca, Spain

The goal of the “International Workshop on Disordered Systems” (IWDS2024) is to gather experts and young researchers on different fields in which disorder plays a significant role. The workshop will provide a motivating scientific atmosphere in order to present and discuss recent advances as well as to foster further collaborations between the participants.

IWDS2024 will be the 12th edition in the successful series of this international workshop, following Daejeon (South Korea) in 2018, Brescia (Italy) in 2016, San Antonio (Texas, USA) in 2014, Benasque (Spain) in 2012, Puebla (Mexico) 2010, Córdoba (Argentina) in 2008, Maceió (Brazil) in 2006, Leganés (Spain) in 2004, Puebla (Mexico) in 2002, and Arica (Chile) in 2000 and 1998.

Topics

The scope of the workshop is very general but the main focus will be centred on the following topics.

  • Transport and localization in disordered systems
  • Quantum transport in 2D materials and nanosystems
  • Ergodic and non-ergodic phases in many particle systems
  • Many body thermalization
  • Quantum dynamics of many body systems
  • Topological phases of matter
